Detailed discussion was held during the meeting and the officers were given strict instructions to ban dung, industrial and sewer waste from various places in Budha Dariya. MP Seechewal said that the officials have also been instructed to expedite the process of setting up biogas plants in Habowal and Tajpur Road Dairy campuses.
Said that the state government headed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to the rejuvenation of Budha Darya. The MP Seechewal appealed to the residents and the industry to cooperate in achieving this goal, stating the need to take collective steps for cleaning the river.
The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Paramdeep Singh, ADC Amarjeet Bains, Chief Engineer Ravinder Garg, Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board (PWSSB) XEN Balraj Singh and other officials of Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB), Drainage Department, PSPCL etc.
