Indigenous stack message to the whole world, now India is not only service provider but also technology producer: Scindia

Guwahati/New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the full indigenous 4G stack of the country from Jharsuguda in Orissa and 1 lakh indigenous 4G towers of BSNL. On this occasion, Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia joined Assam with Virtual program and shared the importance of this achievement. On this occasion, the Union Minister said that the Communications Department pledged to create his indigenous 4G stack under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolution of self -reliant India and in just 22 months, India has reached the Elite Club of the world which has been successful in making its indigenous stack today. This is a glorious moment for the whole country when India is moving towards becoming a global leader in the telecom sector.
Towers were inaugurated in various states along with Orissa from where various leaders joined the program. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in Orissa, Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu, Chandrashekhar Pemmasani, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Raksha Nikhil Khadse in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Assam, Union Minister in Gujarat, Union Minister Bhuja Singh and Chief Minister in Gujarat Nitish Kumar was involved.

India’s indigenous 4G stack made in 22 months

Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the indigenous 4G stack to the public and said that despite all the difficulties, India’s experts and the Department of Communications have prepared their full indigenous 4G stack in just 22 months. This is a strong message of India’s technical ability and determination to the world. Which was once considered impossible, today it is the reality of self -sufficient India. At the same time, the Prime Minister said that 4G stacks and 1 lakh new towers developed in the country will write a new saga of development by reaching connectivity from village to village in India. This achievement is not only an extension of technology, but is a resolve to make the life of ordinary citizen easier.
Union Minister Scindia said that when 2G, 3G and 4G technologies came in the world, India depended on foreign technology. Today BSNL’s hard work and expertise changed it and made India a pioneer in global telecommunications.

High speed internet facility reached 30 thousand villages

Addressing the public, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that more than 2 crore people will be directly benefited from this project. About 30,000 villages where there was no high speed internet facility till now, now this service will also be available. The border and far -flung areas of the country will also join high speed connectivity. This will give students quality online education, farmers information about market and weather, soldiers to connect with their families and entrepreneurs reach the global market.
Union Minister Scindia said that BSNL has earned a profit of ₹ 280 crore in January -March FY25 with capital investment of ₹ 25,000 crore and ₹ 261 crore in Q3 FY25. For the first time after 17 years, BSNL has started earning profit.

Digital India Nidhi: To connect 30,000 villages

Scindia said that out of 27,106 towers targeted under Digital India Nidhi, 19,823 was activated. Through this, 26,327 villages and about 20 lakh families have been able to connect with education, health and administration facilities. In August 2025, 42,773 TB data was used through these towers, which is 21 GB of monthly per customer. Scindia said that from remote Odisha to Pahari Assam, DBN ensures that education, health and administration reach every family.

This technique is a symbol of self -reliance and self -reliance

Union Minister Scindia said on the occasion that this 4G network is based on 100% indigenous technology. In this, C-Dott has done the core network, Tejas Network Radio Access Network (RAN) and TCS have done integration work. This network is fully software-driving, cloud-based and ready for the future. With this achievement, India has become the fifth country in the world which has its entire 4G stack capacity. Now India is not only a service consumer, but also to become technical producers and a global leader in the telecom sector.
The Union Minister said that India will share this indigenous technology with its friendly countries with the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. Today, India is moving beyond the Vocal for Local and is taking confidence in the direction of local to global. This gift to the countrymen of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a strong symbol of self -reliant India. He said that it is not only India’s technical strength, but a guarantee of social justice and digital equality. Every citizen, whether he lives in any geographical location, will be able to connect with world -class digital services.
