India’s response to future struggles should be quick and decisive: CDS General Anil Chauhan

Principal Defense President (CDS) General Anil Chauhan said on Monday that India’s reaction to future security challenges should be integrated, accelerated and decisive in view of technological progress and rapidly changing nature of war, sea and air. The top officer of the army emphasized the need for better coordination between the three armies as part of preparations to increase India’s military power.

He said, “At a time when the nature of struggle in land, sea, air, cyber and space is changing rapidly, our response should be integrated, quick and decisive.” The CDS said, “The future battlefield does not recognize the boundaries of the armies. This requires joint thinking, joint plan and joint implementation.” Calling a better coordination between the three armies, General Chauhan said, “We have to be ready not only to fight together, but also to think together.”

He said, “The solidarity is no longer aspiring, but it is the basis of our continuous change.” General Chauhan made this comment ahead of the two -day conference called ‘Ran Samvad’. The relevant conference will focus on various aspects of the battlefield and the efforts related to the campaign and ways to increase India’s warfare. The conference will be held on 26 and 27 August at the Army War Mahavidyalaya at Mhow.

The CDS said, “This seminar is an important step, where serving officers will lead to discussion on the realities of struggle and war.” General Chauhan said that ‘Ran Dialogue’ will provide a platform where the collective attitude of the army will be discussed. He said, “This is not about the seminar power performance. It is about the clarity of the objective, united efforts and shared campaign in all services. We should be ready to fight not only together, but also to think together.” On the last day of the Rann Dialogue Conference, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will address the full session. General Chauhan will address on the inauguration day. Some joint theory, technical perspective and ability outlines will also be released during the event.
