Pune-Azani-Pune Vande Bharat Express, named train number 26101/26102, will start its regular service from Pune station from August 11 and from August 12 from Ajni station. This train will run six days a week.
Maharashtra is going to get India’s longest distance Vande Bharat train, which will run between Ajni and Pune in Nagpur. In addition, it will be the 12th Vande Bharat train of the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this new semi-high-speed train on August 10. This train will be operated and maintained by the Central Railway (CR) zone. This Vande Bharat train will cover a distance of 881 km, making it the longest train in India. It will have 10 stops and its average speed will be 73 km per hour, making it the fastest train between Nagpur and Pune. This train will prove to be a major change as passengers will be able to travel easily from one corner of the state to another. In addition, it will also be beneficial for traders, students and employees who go on regular travel due to job demand. The train will stop at major stations including Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Shegaon, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Ahmednagar and Daund Cord Line. This will run with a total of eight coaches that include an executive chair car (EC) and seven standard chair cars (CCs) – which will have a seating capacity of 590 passengers.
