The petition of podcaster Ranveer Alahabadia will be heard in the Supreme Court today in the India’s Got latent controversy. Ranveer had appealed to the hearing of separate FIRs against him to one place.
A bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice N. Kotishwar Singh will hear Ranveer’s petition. On behalf of Alahabadia, advocate Abhinav Chandrachud will advocate.
Ranveer filed a petition in SC on 14 February
At the time, Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’ Ranveer Alahabadia made obscene comments on parents. After this, FIR was registered against him in many places including Maharashtra, Assam. YouTuber filed a petition in the Supreme Court on 14 February against this.
Ranveer had said 3 things in his petition in the Supreme Court. First- Hearing on FIR lodged across the country. Second- get relief from arrest. The third thing was that they were being threatened. On behalf of Alahabadia, advocate Abhinav Chandrachud had demanded a early hearing on his client’s petition, which was rejected by the court. The court then said that his petition would be heard in a day or two.
Relief from arrest on 17 February
The Supreme Court had given relief to Alahabadia from arrest, but also reprimanded him. The court had said that the language of your comment is distorted and the mind is dirty. Not only the parents, daughters and sisters were also embarrassed. Justice Suryakant and Justice N Koteshwar Singh said that several FIRs have been registered against Alahabadia, but no case will be registered against them in this case.

The Supreme Court has approved YouTuber Ranveer Alahabadia to resume its podcast ‘The Ranveer Show’. The court placed a condition that he would not show anything obscene in his show.

India’s Got Latent’s controversial episode was released on February 8
‘India’s Got Latent’ was a stand-up comedian time Raina’s show. It is currently closed. The show used to have bold comedy content. The show had more than 73 million subscribers worldwide. The disputed episode was released on YouTube on 8 February. It said objectionable things about parents and women.
Each episode of the show used to get more than 20 million views on YouTube. Except for time and Balraj Ghai, the judges used to change in every episode of the show. In every episode, the new contestants used to get a chance to perform. Contestants were given 90 seconds to show their talent.
