Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the visit of the Indian community in Trinidad and Tobago as courage and said that the sufferings that his ancestors suffered, they could “even break the strongest people.”
Modi made this comment on Thursday at a community program at ‘National Psychling Velodrome’ in Kauwa. The Prime Minister reached Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday as part of a two -day visit. Modi started his visit by participating in the Indian community program and said that he found it completely natural, because “we are part of a family.”
Trinidad and Tobago have a population of about 1.3 million, out of which 45 percent are people of Indian origin. Modi said, “The journey of the Indian community in Trinidad and Tobago is full of courage. The circumstances that your ancestors faced could break the strongest people but they faced difficulties with hope. He faced problems firmly. ”
The Prime Minister said, “He left Ganga and Yamuna behind but kept Ramayana in his hearts.” He described the Indian community as the messenger of “eternal civilization”.
