An Indian citizen living in the US has accepted the crime of carrying out armed robbery at retail shops in many American states. He helped the robbery victims to get a visa to get the benefit of American immigration from fraud and collected money from them.
Rambhai Patel (37), a resident of New York, on Tuesday, in Boston, US District Judge Mong J. Accepted a crime in a case of conspiracy to conspiracy to cheat visa to Jaun. The case will be sentenced on August 20 in this case.
According to American federal prosecutors, Patel and a co-princelyler started the crime from March 2023, under which they committed robbery in at least nine shops and restaurants.
The purpose of these robberies was to create violent crime scenarios so that the store clerk or owner could apply for ‘You Nonimigant Status’ (U Visa). U Visa is a special visa given to victims of serious offenses who assist in law enforcement.
In this whole story, the victims paid a huge amount to Patel. Based on these dramatic incidents, at least two persons submitted an ‘U Visa’ application. Patel will be framed in December 2023 and his co-conspirator named Singh is expected to be convicted on 22 May.
