Indian Army will have to be ready to respond to any violent action of Pakistan: CDS General Anil Chauhan

Principal Defense President (CDS) General Anil Chauhan said on Tuesday that the Indian Army would have to be ready to respond to any kind of violent acts done by Pakistan. Addressing a program here, the CDS said that Pakistan’s full-dimensional resistance theory “needs to be challenged, and emphasized that terrorists cannot hide in any part of Pakistan.

In the opening session of the annual ‘Trident’ lecture chain, he reiterated that military preparations should be of extremely high level, round the clock and 365 days of the year need to be ready. He also underlined that there is little difference between war and peace, and said that they seem to be merging into each other. The CDS said, “We need to create more space for traditional campaigns between unconventional and nuclear regions.”

He said that terrorists cannot hide anywhere on the land of Pakistan. General Chauhan also emphasized that the Indian Army should have the ability to penetrate both stable and dynamic targets located at high distance. He said, we have to be prepared to respond to any violent action taken by Pakistan, whether it is done by the state elements or by the state element, and this is the first criteria, which we have to understand. This is a new criteria for all of us.

The CDS said that another military standard is that there will now be more dependence on nuclear policy, which has become the foundation of traditional military operations. He said that another standard would be that India would have to be technically ahead of its opponents.
