Some major agreements between India Pakistan

Jinnah- Mountbatten talks (1947): Talks between Pakistan Governor General Muhammad Ali Jinnah and India’s Governor General Luis Mountbatten in November 1947.

Karachi Agreement (1949): Ceasefire agreement between the military leadership of the two countries on July 27, 1949.

Liaquat-Nehru Agreement (1950): Agreement on issues of refugee, property, minorities rights between the two countries under Liaquat-Nehru Pact or Delhi Pact.

Indus Water Sandhi (1960): Agreement on September 19, 1960 regarding the water sharing of Sindhu and its other tributaries.

Tashkent Agreement (1966): After the Indo-Pak war in 1965, the peace agreement between the two countries on January 10, 1966.

Shimla Agreement (1972): On July 2, 1972 in Shimla, the two countries agreed to end the controversies after the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971.

Delhi Agreement (1973): It was on August 28, 1973, it was an agreement between three countries India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Islamabad Agreement (1988): The agreement was reached on 21 December 1988 between Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto in the name of Non-Nuclear Agreement.
