India-China Relation | Do not define border dispute relations! Chinese ambassador said- immense possibilities of cooperation with India

Chinese Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong said that despite the ups and downs, the China-India relations have been “defined by friendly cooperation” and stressed the need to strengthen dialogue, trade and exchange. In the backdrop of the global impact of the US administration’s trade and tariff policies, Chinese Ambassador Shu Faihong said on Tuesday that India and China should jointly protect the global South interests, jointly dominated and opposed “tariffs and business wars”.

China and India dominated India, power-focused politics

China’s Ambassador Shu Faihong said that China and India should strongly oppose domination, power-focused politics and any kind of fee and trade wars. He commented at a time when relations between India and the US have become tense after the Trump administration doubled the fee on Indian goods to 50 percent. During the address at an event, the ambassador proposed a four-point approach to pursue India-China relations, including the matter of finding a ‘correct way’ to coordinate with each other with a sense of mutual respect and faith.

China and India border disputes

Shu said that both countries should not allow the current India-China relations to be defined by border dispute and bilateral trade should be increased as it has ‘immense possibilities’. In his speech on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the establishment of China in the program, Shu said that it is important for India and China to protest “domination, power -centric politics and any type of fee and trade wars”, protect the shared interests of the global South and build a shared future community for humanity.

This comment of the ambassador has come at a time when the conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Chinfing has been more than three weeks on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin city of China.
