Team India will start their home season with the West Indies series. The first match will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from October 2. The second match will start from October 10 at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Talking to the English newspaper Times of India, Devjit said that the team will be announced on 23-24 September for this series. Meanwhile, there may be an entry of two new names in the selection committee. Former India spinner Pragyan Ojha and former fast bowler RP Singh Ajit Agarkar will be part of the Senior Selection Committee. But both of them will not select the Test team against the West Indies. Pragyan Ojha will replace S Sharat in the National Senior Selection Committee.
Currently, West Indies have announced their team for this series. Former West Indies captain and legendary batsman Shivnarayan Chandrapaul son Teganarayan has got a place in the team. Roston Chase Team captain and Jomel Wrocken has been entrusted with the responsibility of vice -captain.
