In the first Test between India and West Indies being played in Ahmedabad, Team India player Nitish Kumar Reddy caught a full length dive and caught a catch which is not easy at all. Such a catch is not a matter of everyone, especially on the square leg. However, 22 -year -old Nitish was amazing.
In fact, Nitish Kumar Reddy showed the path of the pavilion to Tagarin Chandrapaul in the 8th over by Mohammad Siraj. West Indies opener Chandrapaul scored 8 runs in 23 balls in the second innings at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
29 -year -old Chandrapaul tried to bridge the second ball of the 8th over. The ball was not correctly connected to his bat and went towards the square leg, where Reddy was present. The ball is difficult to fall on the square leg and even more difficult while floating in the air. Had there been any other fielder, perhaps the ball would not be caught despite trying, but Reddy’s quickness is not answered. He swung like an eagle on the ball going from the left side. He got a full length dive and caught the catch. Siraj was shocked to see Reddy’s amazing and then a smile was shattered on his face. Reddy’s video is becoming increasingly viral.
On Saturday, the third day of the Ahmedabad Test, the West Indies lost five wickets of the second innings till lunch break for 66 runs. John Campbell added 14 runs. Brandon King (5), Roston Chase (1) and Shai Hope (1) could not touch the double figures. Earlier, India declared the first innings for 448 runs for five wickets. India got a strong lead of 286 runs on the basis of first innings.
