In the first Test match being played against the West Indies, Team India’s wicketkeeper batsman Dhuvar Juril has scored his first Test century. He completed the century in 190 balls, in which he hit 12 fours and 2 sixes. Jurael has become a total of 12th Indian wicketkeeper batsman to score a century in Test cricket history. At the same time, this was the third century in the year 2025 by Indian wicketkeepers. Prior to him, Rishabh Pant has scored 2 centuries this year.
Dhruv Jurlel is the fifth Indian wicketkeeper batsman to score his Test debut against West Indies. Before him, Vijay Manjrekar, Farooq Engineer, Ajay Ratra and Wriddhiman Saha have done so. His first century has come in the 9th innings of Test career and before that he was able to score only one fifty. Prior to this century, Jurlel’s highest score in Test was 90 runs, which he scored against England in 2024.
