The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made two changes to the Indian squad for the three-match ODI series against South Africa starting January 19. Team India includes off-spinner Jayant Yadav and pacer Navdeep Saini.
Corona was found positive during the camp at off-spinner Washington Sundar Bangalore. Washington has since been dropped from the ODI squad against South Africa. Washington has now been replaced by off-spinner Jayant Yadav. Jayant made his ODI debut in October 2016. Jayant has played only one ODI for India so far.

The All India Senior Selection Committee has also included pacer Navdeep Saini in the ODI squad as a backup for Mohammad Siraj. Siraj is not part of Team India in the third Test in Cape Town due to a hamstring injury. Indian ODI team – KL Rahul (captain), Jasprit Bumrah (vice-captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Aiyar, Venkatesh Aiyar, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Ishaan Kishan (wicket) , R Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, Prasidh Krishna, Shardul Thakur, Mohammad Siraj, Jayant Yadav and Navdeep Saini.
