The last match of the three-match Twenty20 series between India and New Zealand will be played today (Sunday). The Indian team under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma has already captured the series. Meanwhile, the Indian team would like to win today’s match and beat the Kiwi team 3-0.
The focus will be on Rohit Sharma in this match. Rohit, who led Team India to victory in his first series as captain, has a chance to set a big record of Twenty20 international matches.
Let it be known that Rohit Sharma has scored 3141 runs in T20 international cricket so far. He is the second highest run scorer for India in T20I. Rohit is followed by Virat Kohli who has scored 3227 runs. In other words, Rohit Sharma is just 87 runs away from Virat Kohli in terms of scoring the most T20I runs for India. Now that Virat is not playing in the series and Rohit is in tremendous form, it can be hoped that in today’s match Rohit can set the record.
New Zealand opener Martin Guptin holds the record for most runs scored in a Twenty20 International against India in the last Twenty20 International. Earlier, the record was held only by Virat Kohli. Martin Guptill has now scored 3248 runs in Twenty20 International cricket. Guptill is followed by Virat Kohli and then Rohit Sharma.
