Former Indian opener Akash Chopra believes that if Team India is unable to perform better in Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, Gautam Gambhir may be questioned. Akash further said that Gambhir said from the petitioners that he has been given everything that he has been given and now there is a huge pressure on him to give the result.
After Gautam Gambhir became the head coach of Team India, India’s performance graph in the Test format has fallen significantly. After Gambhir became a coach, India is getting defeat one after the other. First I lost to New Zealand in the Test series in their home and then Team India was beaten by Australia on their land and now India started with defeat in the 5 -match Test series against England.
After India’s performance in the Test, former Indian opener Akash Chopra believes that Gautam Gambhir may be questioned if Team India is not able to perform better in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Akash further said that Gambhir said from the petitioners that he has been given everything that he has been given and now there is a huge pressure on him to give the result.
Akash Chopra said on his YouTube channel that there is a lot of pressure on Gautam Gambhir which is increasing. If you look at his performance in Test cricket i.e. red ball cricket, he has not won too much matches. He has won 2 against Bangladesh and one against Australia. So far, the Indian team has lost 3 against New Zealand, 3 against Australia and one against England.
Akash said that, his performance in white ball cricket has been good and the team is playing well but in Test cricket I think questions are going to be raised. Not only this, I think there is a lot of pressure on this series. If this series does not go well then God should not do it, I hope it is good. I want Team India to do well, but if the England series is not very good then the questions will arise where they are going and what they are doing.
