Former England captain Root has become the only batsman to score 3000 runs in Tests against India, creating another history. He has so far scored 3054 runs in 33 Tests against India, including 10 centuries. Along with this, he has joined the club of Gary Sobers and Sachin Tendulkar in terms of scoring more than 3000 runs in non-essence test rivalry.
