Gambhir’s mother had to be hospitalized after suffering a heart attack. A BCCI source told PTI that his mother’s health is improving. Gautam will join the team after leaving from here tomorrow.
Former India opener did not participate in the intra-skava match played at a closed stadium between India and India A at Bekenham. In his absence, assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeshe, batting coach Sitanshu Kotak and bowling coach Morne Morkel monitored the team’s preparations before the five -match series.
