IND Vs Eng 2nd Test: Shardul Thakur and Sai Sudarshan did not get a place in second Test, fans raging on Gautam Gambhir

The second Test match between India and England is being played in Edgbaston. In this match, England won the toss and then decided to do Gedambaji. At the time of the toss, Indian captain Gill said that three changes were made in the playing XI in which Shardul Thakur and Sai Sudarshan were dropped from the playing XI while Jaspreet Bumrah was rested for the match.

After the best performance in the headingley, India has fielded Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul as openers. However, Washington Sundar has been given a chance to replace Sai Sudarshan. Sudarshan scored just 30 runs in two innings while Karun Nair, who scored 0 and 20 runs in the first Test match, was brought up in batting order. In the second Test match, Nitish Reddy was included in the team in place of Shardul. Shardul Thakur took only two wickets for 89 runs in 16 overs and failed to contribute with the bat.

Cricket fans on social media were badly provoked by the team’s head coach Gautam Gambhir after being excluded from Shardul Thakur and Sai Sudarshan from the second Test match. One user wrote that the decision to exclude Shardul is completely wrong and the team will have to bear the brunt of this decision, while another user wrote that the decision to get Sai Sudarshan out of the team without any reason is not right and Kuldeep Yadav will have to wait now.
