Indore. Professor Sanjay Dwivedi, former Director General of the Indian Institute of Communications (IIMC), says that literary journalism has protected the value, discretion and culture by making society thoughtful. He was inaugurating the centenary year celebrations of ‘Veena’ magazine at Shri Madhya Bharat Hindi Sahitya Samiti, Indore on Monday. On this occasion, he also inaugurated the first issue of the 99th year of ‘Veena’. Prof. Dwivedi was also honored with ‘Veena Sarjana Samman’ in the program.
Prof. Dwivedi said that when Hindi journalism is going to complete 200 years, Veena’s hundred years journey becomes very important when Hindi journalism is going to complete 200 years. Veena is not only a witness to the time, but it has recorded the history of our language development, literature, culture and arts. He said that the melodious sound of ‘Veena’ is an unmatched presence in the courtyard of literature. What this magazine has done without noise is yet to be evaluated. Professor Dwivedi said that literary journalism narrates the truth of our time and supports the society. According to him, literary journalism contributes to the core of the widespread publicity of Hindi, which led to the confidence of expression of every subject in the language. He said that literary journalism has given Hindi language serious, depth and trust. At the same time, by connecting with mass movements, a big job of social change has also been done.

Referring to Veena’s contribution and history-development, Dr. Rakesh Sharma, editor of the magazine, said that there are plans to organize several events across the country in the centenary celebrations. It will also honor the personalities dedicated to literature, culture and arts.
