Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav inaugurated the Smart Control Room at Moga on Tuesday. Criminal activities in the district will be monitored through this control room. Currently 140 cameras have been installed in Moga district.

These include 107 bullet cameras and 33 ANPR cameras. 100 more cameras will be installed soon. AnPR i.e. automatic number plate reader will scan the number plate of camera vehicles. This data will be kept safe for one year.

Special cameras on district borders

DGP Yadav said that special cameras have been installed on the boundaries of the district. Vehicles coming and going from them will be strictly monitored. Like Mohali, an e-challan system will be started soon in Moga. This will make it easier to take action against those who violate traffic rules.
