Punjab Police conducted flag march and search operation at sensitive places.

Police teams searched 3660 persons at 159 bus stands and 131 railway stations across the state.

Punjab Police is committed to conduct the G-20 Summit peacefully as per the instructions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

According to the guidelines of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, a red alert has been issued in the state for the peaceful conduct of the G-20 Summit to be held in Delhi and security has been increased by the Punjab Police across the state.

As per the instructions of Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav, police teams also took out flag march at all sensitive locations of all 28 police districts from 9 am to 11 am, followed by 2 pm. By 7 pm, the railway also And search operations (CASO) were also conducted in stations and bus stands.

Special DGP Law and Order Arpit Shukla said that police teams led by gazetted rank officers took out flag marches in sensitive areas of their respective districts. 139 flag marches covering 228 sensitive areas were taken out in all 28 police districts.

He said that the purpose of this action is to prepare the police personnel to deal with any unpleasant situation and also to increase the confidence of the common people.

The Special DGP said that the CPs/SSPs have been directed to conduct special cordon and search operation (CASO) at all bus stands and railway stations and nearby areas across the state under the supervision of SP rank officer. He said that during this operation, we had strictly instructed all the policemen to behave friendly and courteously with every person.

He said that about 255 police teams of more than 1500 police personnel have been deployed across the state to keep an eye on suspicious persons at various railway stations and bus stands of the state, so that people face any kind of problem. do not have to face He said that during the operation conducted at 159 bus stands and 131 railway stations of the state, more than 3660 people were checked by police teams and some suspects were also detained for questioning.

It may be mentioned that the CPs/SSPs have also been asked to set up maximum number of police posts in their jurisdictions and check all suspicious vehicles coming in and out of the state.
