At least four school children were injured in a bomb blast inside a classroom in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of North-Western Pakistan, the local police confirmed this on Saturday. The incident took place in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber district on Friday, which is bordering Afghanistan. According to the school administration, a student of fourth grade received a toy while going to school. However, the object was an unnecessary mortar shell, which is usually called a toy bomb in the region. He took him to his class where he burst and four students were injured. Officials say such equipment are the remains of the ongoing struggle and terrorist activities on the Afghan border, and often children consider them harmless toys. Police teams have started investigation and have laid siege to the area to ensure the safety of other students.
