The news of a wife’s murder of her husband has come to light in Ludhiana. A woman killed her drunken husband in Ludhiana district. Her husband used to fight with her after drinking alcohol. The deceased has been identified as Prakash Singh alias Soni, a resident of Kalyani Hospital area near Raikot in Jagraon. Name of accused wife is Gurmeet. The murder came to light when Sukhwinder, the brother of the deceased, saw rope marks on his body.
The deceased Parkash Singh was married to Gurmeet Kaur about 18 years ago. The couple also has a 16-year-old daughter. It is being told that Prakash Singh used to beat his daughter after drinking alcohol. Even on Saturday night, when the fight broke out, the daughter went to her brother-in-law’s house, who lives nearby. After this quarrel, Gurmeet Kaur killed her husband in a drunken state.
After murdering her husband, Gurmeet Kaur rebuttoned his shirt. All night she sat by her husband’s dead body. In the morning, Gurmeet Kaur gave the news of her husband’s death at her parental home in Brahmapura. After the arrival of the relatives, the body of Parkash Singh was placed on the ground. Meanwhile, Sukhwinder Singh started to look at his brother’s face for the last time and saw the marks of a rope on his neck. Seeing the sign, Sukhwinder Singh shouted and informed the police. Police personnel have reached the spot and started investigation.
CIA in-charge Navdeep Singh, DSP Satwinder Vark and SHO City Heera Singh reached the spot. The police officers questioned the wife Gurmeet Kaur strictly and then she confessed her crime. The woman told the police that Prakash Singh used to drink and fight often. Because of this, he was strangled with a rope during a fight late at night. After hearing all this from Gurmeet’s mouth, the police arrested him on the spot.
