The accused husband stabbed his wife’s stomach, then strangled her. After this, the alive wife was put in the bathroom and ran away.
A new angle has surfaced in the Gauri murder case in Bengaluru. Accused husband Rakesh Khedekar told the police- wife Gauri used to speak good and bad to my family. Used to insult parents and sister.
In fact, on 26 March, Rakesh Khedekar stabbed his wife Gauri. After this, he was left alive in a suitcase and left it in the bathroom of the house. After this he himself fled to Pune.
Rakesh had informed Gauri’s brother over the phone about the incident. The next day on March 27, the police recovered the body of Gauri and Rakesh was also arrested from Pune on the same day.

Rakesh’s father is the maternal uncle of Gauri. He remained in a live-in relationship for four years.
There was a debate about the closure of the song
Rakesh and Gauri were from Maharashtra. Rakesh told that Gauri had asked him to shift from Maharashtra to Bengaluru.
Rakesh said, “Gauri was not getting a job in Bengaluru, so she wanted us to go back to Mumbai and she often argued about this.”
Rakesh told the police that he had gone for a walk on the evening of 26 March. Both came back home and drunk alcohol. Around 9 o’clock in the night, Gauri played a Marathi song while working in the kitchen, in which some things were said about the father-son relationship.
According to Rakesh, Gauri was making fun of her father with the song Gauri. He tried to stop singing, but Gauri stopped him. Rakesh pushed Gauri. After this, Gauri threw the knife from the kitchen over her.
Angry Rakesh picked up the knife and attacked Gauri twice around his neck and once in a stomach. After excessive bleeding, he sat near Gauri and started talking to him that he was irritated by his antics.
Rakesh checked Gauri’s pulse. He felt that Gauri had died, so packed her in a suitcase. He tried to take the suitcase with him.
Rakesh said, ‘When I was pulling the suitcase towards the bathroom from the kitchen, his handle broke. Blood was coming out of the suitcase, so it was left near the bathroom.
Earlier these two angles were revealed
- Told the neighbor- Gauri committed suicide – Earlier in the case, Rakesh had told his neighbor that Gauri had committed suicide. Rakesh asked the neighbor to inform the landlord and the police. When the police reached the spot, they found Gauri’s body in the suitcase in the bathroom.
- There was a minor quarrel – There was a fight between Rakesh and Gauri. Rakesh slapped Gauri. Calling the wife’s brother and said that he had killed Gauri. Informed about being in the suitcase of the corpse.
Married against family wishes
Gauri was Rakesh’s fuel sister. He did his studies by staying in Rakesh’s house. During this time, both of them fell in love. After staying in a live-in for four years, both of them got married against the family’s will.
Both of them shifted to Bangalore from Mumbai a month ago due to a rift with parents. After this, Gauri started holding Rakesh responsible for not getting a job by bringing a new city.
Rakesh used to work in a tech firm in Bengaluru, while Gauri was looking for a job.
