Former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is lodged in Pakistan’s jail, has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Imran Khan has been in jail since 2023 on charges of disturbing the national treasury.
The Pakistan World Alliance (PWA), associated with Norway’s political party Partiate Centrum, announced the nomination of Imran Khan to promote human rights and democracy in Pakistan.
Partiate Centrum posted on X on Sunday- We are happy to announce on behalf of Partiate Centrum that we have nominated former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan for the Nobel Peace Prize in association with someone who has the right to enroll.
Also nominated in 2019 Imran Khan was nominated for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize. This nomination was done in 2019 to reduce tension with India. A proposal was made in Pakistan’s Parliament in support of him, stating that Imran Khan tried to tension with India after the Balakot air strike.
