Amidst the unstable situation in Nepal, President Ramchandra Paudel can appoint Sushila Karki as the first woman Prime Minister of the country on Friday. The conversation between various stakeholders, including representatives of the Gen-Z group and the Chief of Army Standards, led the anti-government protests, was inconclusive at midnight on Thursday. However, the youth-led Gen-Z group has proposed Karki’s name for the post of new Prime Minister.

Important meeting with army chief today
A meeting has been called at the Army Headquarters in Kathmandu at 2 pm on Friday. In this meeting, Nepal’s army chief, president and some top legal experts of the country will take a decision on the name of the interim Prime Minister. According to sources, Sushila Karki will also attend this meeting. If the name of the interim Prime Minister is decided according to the Constitution of Nepal, then it is certain that Sushila Karki will be the first choice of the President and the Army Chief.

President Paudel discussed with political leaders
Amidst these developments, President Ramchandra Paudel is discussing with various political leaders and constitutional experts to find a way to deal with the current political deadlock. Two options were considered to form a new government, either Parliament should be dissolved or retained. However, the agitating group has agreed to find a solution within the constitutional structure.
Night curfew has been relaxed in Kathmandu
Meanwhile, people have been relaxed in the night curfew for four hours from 7 am to 11 am to get busy in their routine. The restrictive orders will be implemented across the country from 11 am to 5 pm, after which a two -hour curfew will continue from 7 pm to 6 am the next day. KP Sharma Oli resigned as Prime Minister on Tuesday. During the protests against corruption and the ban on social media on Monday, hundreds of protesters entered their office and demanded their resignation in police action. The ban on social media was lifted on Monday night.
