POSHAN Tracker App: Minister for Social Security, Women and Child Development Department Dr. Under the leadership of Baljit Kaur, the facility of mobile data package of Rs. 2 thousand per year has been implemented to every Anganwadi center to meet the urgent demand of Anganwadi workers. The total number of sanctioned Anganwadi Centers in the state is 27,314. 5,46,28000 data package will be given to these Anganwadi Kedars every year at the rate of Rs.2000 per center.

Giving this information, Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the Government of India had recently released the ‘Poshan Tracker’ mobile app for the record of the nutrition campaign and for monitoring the campaign at the ground level, which required mobile data package for the Anganwadi workers to run it. Don’t have to spend data on your side.

For this, the Punjab government has approved a data package of Rs. 2 thousand per year for each Anganwadi center. He said that under Poshan Abhiyan, nutritious food is provided to children and pregnant women through Anganwadi centers so that they do not become victims of malnutrition.

In order to implement this campaign in a transparent and effective manner at the ground level, the Punjab government is also encouraging the use of this application so that Anganwadi workers and helpers can upload all the records related to nutrition on this app and now dedicated data. Getting the package to the Anganwadi workers will help in better implementation of this campaign.

The cabinet minister said that the distribution of data package will be implemented immediately, which will enable the Anganwadi workers to better use the potion tracker through their smartphones. Apart from this, Anganwadi workers and Anganwadi helpers will be encouraged with an incentive amount of Rs.500 and Rs.250 respectively for their best performance in this field.

The cabinet minister said that while the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to ensure the welfare of women and children of the state, it is also taking full care of the demands and issues of Anganwadi workers and helpers.
