Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that impeachment motion against Delhi High Court Judge Yashwant Verma is a case related to corruption in the judiciary and hence there is no scope to take a separate political stance on the issue. There is no scope for every party to take different political stance. Therefore, we would like to take a united stance. The minister said that Parliament will have to come together to discuss this matter and move forward. Therefore, I am trying to build a consensus among all political parties and I have started discussing with prominent leaders and I will contact everyone.
Rijiju said that the response has been very positive. As I said, there is no scope for each party to take a political stand in this matter. This case is very serious, and it is extremely important for the nation. Therefore, when we discuss corruption, whether it is corruption in the judiciary or elsewhere, it should be taken into the best idea of the nation.
