Accused caught in police custody
In Amritsar, a person selling liquor illegally on an expiry license has been controlled. The Excise Department raided the police and took this action.

The case is of Ranjit Avenue, where the license of RB Wine Shop ended on 31 March 2025. This contract has now been allotted to the Gayampuria Group. But the old contractor was still selling liquor illegally there.
The Excise Department received a complaint that a person is serving alcohol by opening chairs. The department took immediate action and raided the spot. One and a half boxes of bladder pride, two bottles of teacher and several beer boxes were recovered from here.
The Excise Inspector said that the shop was earlier named after RT wine call. This person was illegally selling liquor due to non -payment of new fee. An FIR will be lodged against the accused at Sadar police station.
