West Delhi Lions captain Nitish Rana has broken his silence on the fight with Digvesh Rathi. He said that if someone teases me, I will not sit silent. Nitish and Digvesh had a fight in the Delhi Premier League 2025 Eliminator match. South Delhi Superstars spinner Digvesh did not bowl the ball after taking the runup, after which Nitish’s mercury became high. When Digvesh again came to score the ball with a runup, this time Nitish moved away from his place. After this, there was a tu-tu man-main between the two players. After which the umpire had to come down to rescue the middle.
Nitish said after West Delhi Lions reached the DPL 2025 final, the thing is not right or who is wrong. He came to win the match for his team and I am my responsibility for my team but it is my responsibility to respect the game of cricket and it is his. He started it. I would not say how or what happened, because it would be unfair. But yes, if someone teases me or comes in front of me, then I am not going to sit silent. Because I have always played cricket like this. If someone teases me and he feels that he will give me out and dismiss me, then I can also respond by hitting a six. What happened in the eliminator is an example of this.
Nitish further said that it is also in his hand to eliminate what starts. I have been involved in many quarrels till now, it is not that I never fought. But till date I have never started. Yes, if someone says something before me, I always answer and this is my way. I have been raised like this. My parents have taught me that if you are not wrong then you should stand for yourself and I do it at all. And I will continue to do further.
