Raghav Juyal, who earned the title of ‘King of Slow Motion’ in Dance India Dance for his unique ‘Slow Motion’ dancing style, has had a wonderful journey in showbiz. Recently, she has been in the news for her role in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, ‘The Bads of Bollywood’. While her comical moments on ‘Kaho Na Kaho’ opposite Emraan Hashmi in DID made her instantly popular, what impressed fans the most was her story of struggle filled with courage and humour.
How were your initial days in Mumbai?
In a recent conversation, Raghav candidly shared the struggles of his early days in Mumbai. Raghav told, ‘When I came to Mumbai, I had nothing. But I enjoyed that period also a lot. I never felt sad thinking, ‘Oh, I don’t have anything.’ I used to enjoy eating vada pav a lot.
He also narrated an interesting anecdote about his living arrangement, ‘Ten of us used to live in the same room. Our fridge didn’t work, so we used it as a cupboard to keep our undergarments. If someone had opened it by mistake, he would have been shocked.
When asked if he ever felt any difficulty in making his place in Mumbai, he said, ‘I have full confidence, man. If ten people are talking in English, I will be able to talk in Hindi and Urdu also. I think everyone is kind to me, that’s why I’m getting work.
He further explained how he handled his rejections, ‘Earlier, I used to tell people who didn’t take me in their films, ‘Better luck next time.’ The producers were stunned to see my confidence.

Raghav’s film career
Raghav Juyal, resident of Dehradun, came to Mumbai in 2011. After gaining nationwide fame with DID, he stepped into the world of acting with ABCD 2 (2015). After this he appeared in many films like Nawabzaade, Street Dancer 3D and Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
In 2025, her role in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ proved to be a big step in her cinematic career. Now, Raghav is reportedly a part of Siddharth Anand’s upcoming action film ‘King’, starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. This project is all set to add another big chapter to their success story.
