ICC Test Rankings: Ravichandran Ashwin became the ‘king’ of bowlers, King Kohli and Akshar Patel made a long jump

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest Test rankings on Wednesday. Star off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has once again taken the top spot in the bowling rankings. Apart from this, India’s star batsman Virat Kohli and all-rounder Akshar Patel have also made a long jump.

Virat Kohli ended a drought of three years by scoring the 28th century of his career in the fourth Test match against Australia. Kohli has jumped seven places to 13th in the batting rankings. Let us tell you that India’s Rishabh Pant (9th place) and captain Rohit Sharma (10th place) are among the top-10 batsmen.

Ravichandran Ashwin has retained the top spot by 10 points behind England fast bowler James Anderson. Ashwin-Anderson were jointly at the top but now the Indian off-spinner has overtaken them. Talking about all-rounders, Ravindra Jadeja remains at the top position. Jadeja performed brilliantly in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India’s all-rounder Akshar Patel has also benefited tremendously.

Although Akshar Patel took two wickets in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he scored three fifties with the bat. Patel has jumped eight places to the 44th position in the batting rankings. Along with this, he has reached the fourth place in the list of all-rounders.

Talking about the ICC batting rankings, Australia’s Marcus Labuchen (915 points) occupies the first place. Steve Smith (872) is second, Joe Root (871) third, Babar Azam (862) fourth and Travis Head (853) fifth.

In the list of all-rounders, Ravindra Jadeja (431) is at number-1. Ravichandran Ashwin (359) is second, Shakib Al Hasan (329) third, Akshar Patel (316) fourth and Ben Stokes (307) fifth.
