I would be Farhan Akhtar’s half-brother- Prateek Babbar: Javed Akhtar-Shabana Azmi wanted to adopt Prateek after Smita Patil’s death

Smita Patil died a few days after giving birth to Bollywood actor Prateek Babbar. Now recently, Prateek has told that Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi wanted to adopt Prateek after the death of Smita Patil.

In an interview to Zoom recently, Prateek Babbar has said, I have come to know some time ago that Shabana ji and Javed Saheb wanted to adopt me after the death of my mother. I could have been Farhan’s half -brother. I know new things. I keep wondering what would have happened. What would have been life I know a lot of things about childhood, there was a custody fight for me. I was very young at that time and I had no idea what was happening. Custody battle went on, people wanted to adopt me.

During the conversation, Prateek has also told that after the death of Smita Patil, many people of the industry came forward to take responsibility for him. These include many people like Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar, Shyam Benegal.

Prateek Babbar has also told in the conversation that she knows a few days ago that Smita Patil was pregnant while shooting for the film Mirch Masala. This is the reason why Prateek saw that film.

Let us tell you that Smita Patil married Raj Babbar. She wanted her many children. Luckily, she became pregnant while shooting for the film Mirch Masala. He gave birth to son Prateek Babbar on 28 November 1986. A few days later, his health started deteriorating due to delivery competition and unfortunately Smita Patil passed away on 13 December 1986 exactly 15 days after giving birth to his son. Prateek Babbar has removed the surname of father Raj Babbar in his name some time ago and has taken his name Prateek Smita Patil.
