Actress Sadia Khatib has created a distinct identity through ‘The Diplomat’. Now she is preparing for her next projects.
In a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, he spoke openly on his other interests, writing hobbies and childhood memories besides acting.
Sadia says, ‘I like stories a lot, so I also write. However, I will not call myself a professional writer. But whenever I write, I edit it so that there is no mistake. Apart from this, I also like to cook and sometimes sing songs. All this happens in small artists.
Sadia attracts fantasy and ghost stories from childhood.
She says, ‘I like fantasy and ghost stories since childhood. There was a girl in our house, Salima, who was from Gujjar Tribe living in the mountains of Jammu. When the light went away, she used to tell us stories like Sheikhchilli, Alibaba forty thieves. Even today, if someone talks to me about the stories of ghosts, then I will be immersed in it all night. If you ever get a chance, I would definitely like to bring them on screen. ‘
Sadia says, ‘The beauty of Jammu and Kashmir and the stories of the people there are precious. Its only one political image is seen from outside, but the real beauty is hidden in the fragrance, love stories and emotions of the people there. If people listen to it, they will enjoy it very much.
On her association with Kashmir, she says, ‘My childhood has been spent in Jammu and Kashmir. My schooling is held in Jammu and half of my relatives are in Srinagar. I have been in Mumbai for the last eight years, but Kashmir is my home and nothing like a house.
She also shares the things of Kashmir the most, ‘the cold and food there. I cannot live without eating Kashmiri. I love homemade Nadar Yakhni and Rogan Josh. ‘
Regarding her new projects, Sadia says, ‘Can’t talk much about it right now, but yes, I have signed a project. I am currently waiting for good projects. Let’s see how this film is amazing and what will be the reaction of the audience.
Sadia says about Ott and music videos, ‘If the project is good, I am always ready. I am an artist and looking for the best work.
