Air India’s statement has come out. It states that 169 Indian citizens, 53 British citizens, 1 Canadian citizens and 7 Portuguese citizens were riding on the aircraft. There are constant updates about who were riding in the aircraft. Some media reports claimed that former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was riding in the flight, but it was later clear that he was not present in the flight. One of the most important revelations from the DGCA report after the AI171 accident is that the pilots released a “Made” call soon after flying. Let us tell you that in the Meghani Nagar area near Ahmedabad Airport, the aircraft going to London of Air India crashed only a few moments after flying. The aircraft had 242 people, including 10 crew members. Many people are also suspected to be casualties in the accident.
