On Monday, a person strangled his wife to death in a domestic dispute of land in village Khara in Sadar Kotkapura area police station in Faridkot district and escaped from the spot after the incident.

The deceased was identified as Gagandeep Kaur (40). After the information, the police have taken the body in possession and sent it to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College Hospital of Faridkot for post -mortem and started investigating the case.

Gagandeep Kaur, a resident of Brahminwala village of Kotkapura, was married to Jaspreet Singh alias Shaktimaan, a kabaddi player of village Khara. Gagandeep’s in -laws had been in dispute for a long time over the land. Jaspreet Singh wanted to sell his land, but his wife stopped him from doing so.
In the midst of this controversy, the soil of the fields was being sold by Jaspreet Singh and when Gagandeep Kaur protested and protested, Jaspreet Singh strangled Gagandeep Kaur to death.

The deceased’s brother Baltej Singh imposed that Gagandeep Kaur’s husband and her in-laws were not paying any expenses to her sister and now she is also working in a private bank to raise children. The soil of the farm was being sold by the in -laws family and when her sister protested, she was killed by her husband after coming to the in -laws family.
He said that Jaspreet Singh is also addicted to drug addiction and at the time of the incident, the in -law family got him intoxicated and sent him to the farm to kill Gagandeep Kaur.
