According to the information, the incident took place in the month of December, when a passenger named Dinesh Uwani was going to Raisingh Nagar by Sarai Rohila train. Near Malot, he came to know that the goods were missing from his bag. The stolen goods included mobiles, cash of one and a half lakhs, gold and other valuables.
Mobile EMI number tracked
The police tracked the EMI number of the stolen mobile stolen with the help of technical experts. The investigation revealed the names of Baljinder Singh and his wife Amandeep Kaur, a resident of Thadanwala, village of Muktsar. Both have been arrested.
These goods recovered from the accused
A total of 8 lakh 88 thousand rupees have been recovered from the accused, including laptops, iPhones, gold earrings. According to the police, Baljinder Singh is addicted to drugs. However, there is no criminal record of both the accused before. Police have registered a case against both of them under sections 303 (2) and 312 (2) of BNS.
