How NSA Ajit Doval ruined America’s plan, chased CIA out of India

2013 Since then, there has been no major terrorist incident in the country except Kashmir. India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval himself said this. He told that Kashmir is the front of Pakistan’s proxy fight. But the rest of India has been completely safe. But during this time Ajit Doval also made a shocking revelation. He told that there was a time when America was very close to capturing a hill state of India. Foreign agencies were trying to challenge India’s sovereignty through their networks and political influence. In fact, in the 1970s, India faced a threat about which the general public had very little knowledge at that time. The issue was of Sikkim. This area, situated in the lap of the Himalayas, is very close to China and is considered an important link in India’s northern security to China.

Actually, Sikkim was earlier ruled by the Chogiyal dynasty. After independence, it was made a protected state of India in 1947. India looked after its defense and foreign relations. But the internal governance was in the hands of the princely state. Everything was going well. It was comparatively quiet. Until the power there came into the hands of King Poldan Thando Namgyal. After Polden Namgyal became king, a new face of Hopak emerged in the 1960s. She was of American origin and by marrying the Maharaja of Sikkim, she became its queen. She gave up American citizenship but gradually continued to increase both royal power and foreign contacts in Sikkim. They have a problem with India’s presence and especially its control of Delhi. In many foreign interviews, she was seen openly saying that Sikkim needs more independence and global relations from India. At the same time, Indian agencies suspected that the CIA was trying to bring Sikkim under its sphere of influence. It was the era of cold war. The intelligence war between America and the Soviet Union was going on all over the world.

India was close to the Soviets and the US did not want India to maintain complete control over the Himalayan region and as things were deteriorating after Hopak became queen, intelligence officer Ajit Dobal was sent there. He was entrusted with the mission to stop the growing American influence in Sikkim. When Ajit Doval saw there that the people in Sikkim were very dissatisfied with the monarchy, along with it, social inequality, lack of development and the desire for political participation had increased and seeing this opportunity, Ajit Doval started strengthening democratic voices through local leadership, which gradually led to a big mass movement against the monarchy.
