Tamil Nadu BJP chief Nanar Nagendran on Thursday criticized the state government for the condition of health facilities. A video has surfaced from the Coimbatore Government General Hospital in which a son is seen dragging his ailing father on the floor as the wheelchair was not provided even after two hours of waiting. Sharing the video on the social media platform X, Nagendran described the incident as a shocking “and questioned the state’s strong health system claims.

He asked the Stalin government, from carrying patients on cloth stretchers in mountainous areas without road facility to dragging patients in multi-specialty hospitals, is it ‘world-known health service structure’ to harass people for medical service. Nagendran accused the government of giving preference to publicity rather than necessary services. He said, “Basic medical facilities should be improved bypassing the at least on the verge of ending the term of the government, bypassing the showy hollow advertisements.
