When there was a caste census in the country in the year 1931, there was a caste census, after independence, the Congress governments were most of the time in India, but the Congress never dared to get caste census, but from former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to Manmohan Singh government’s Home Minister P Chidambaram, P Chidambaram, stood in the House, stood in the House as the basis of the caste census. It is a harsh truth that today the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is trying to put the country in the fire of chaos in the name of caste census, always opposed the caste census and did not allow it to be implemented.

So far, the states where this census has been done has been inspired by politics and increasing social stress.
For the first time, real figures will be revealed from the caste census of the central government. Through this census, many things will be clear, in which there is also a big issue that only people of every caste are taking advantage of reservation, whereas the same castes and other people of the society are going backward, they are not getting direct benefits of reservation and other facilities of the government, that is, the real classification of creamy will also be available.
The caste census of the opposition was only with the intention of dividing Hindu society into castes, while the Modi government is now going to conduct caste census on the basis of completeness, for the first time in the history of the country, the castes of Muslim society are also going to be census. The data of those converting will also be collected through this census. Due to conversion, there has been a rapid change in the population and geographical structure of many parts of the country. The government also intends to find out which religions and caste people converted to people and which parts have more effects. After the result of caste census, accurate data of the socio -economic situation will be available. There will be help in making policies for the disadvantaged groups, there will be equal distribution of resources and opportunities and helping to reduce social inequality, the problem of discrimination due to caste system will also be solved.
The union’s perspective on caste census is also clear that if the purpose of caste census is justice and welfare, then it is worthy of support and if its purpose is to divide politics and society, then it is always opposed to it. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has supported this decision. The Sangh thinks that “caste will not end with the intermittent, but without the data, neither policy will be made, justice will be made.” Anyway, the basic work of the Sangh is social harmony and it is going to run a great campaign of social harmony in the coming time. The form of the current caste census matches the perspective of the Sangh.
When the matter of caste census comes to light, many thinkers are also demanding to add Sanatani “gotra” in it because in the creation of Hindu society, gotra establishes connectivity to the Sanatan Rishi tradition of any society. It is mandatory to take the name of gotra in all sixteen rites of Hindu life and the resolution of worship and charity.
