In another worrying incident targeting the Hindu community in the US, the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple, located in Greenwood, Indiana, was vandalized with anti -India frescoes, which is now doubtful going on pro -Khalistan elements in the country. The incident is involved in a series of targeted attacks carried out by extremists in the US on Hindu temples. A video shared by the Hindu American Foundation on X shows the temple complex distorting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and anti -India slogans. The Indian Consulate in Chicago described the incident as condemnable and demanded strict action against the culprits.

The Chicago -based Indian Embassy condemned the sabotage in the temple and said that it had taken up the matter before the authorities and requested quick action. The consulate said in a post on X that insulting the main signboard of BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in Greenwood, Indiana is condemnable. The consulate is in touch with the community and has raised the matter before the law enforcement officers for quick action. Today, the Consul General addressed devotees and local leadership, including the honorable mayor of Greenwood and called for vigilance against unity, solidarity and miscreants there.
