Himachal: Four more bodies found in landslide affected Kullu

On Saturday, four more bodies were removed from the debris in the landslide affected Akhara Bazar area in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, causing the number of people who lost their lives in this disaster to eight. An official gave this information.

Chamba Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal said that the rescue operation at Bharmour-Manimahesh in the district ended after taking 64 stranded pilgrims from the air route.

Kullu Deputy Commissioner Torul S. Ravish said that landslides occurred on Tuesday and Thursday in the Akhara Bazar area, causing many buildings into debris. A person is still missing.

On Saturday, the four people found dead have been identified as local resident Narendra and Kashmir resident Bakr Ahmed, Hussain Lone and Tahir Deen Ahmed Sheikh. According to officials, 17 people died due to being stranded for several days on the pilgrimage route.
