The accident took place near Nanaksar on Moga Road.
The young man died in a painful road accident near Nanaksar on Moga Road in Jagraon. The deceased has been identified as Mandeep Singh, a resident of Hira Nagar Ferozepur. Mandeep and his cousin Gurpreet Singh took a tampo full of cabbage from Ferozepur to Kiratpur and Nagal
.
Mandeep was changing the tire by applying jack. Gurpreet was standing on the road by lighting a mobile flashlight. He was cautioning the commuting vehicles. Meanwhile, the high speed trolley crushed Mandeep. Mandeep died on the spot. Gurpreet jumped and saved his life.
The Trola was at such a high speed that after crushing Mandeep, it collided with the tampo. Police of bus stand post reached the spot. Investigating officer Sukhwinder Singh said that the body has been kept in the government hospital. The police have captured Trola and Tampo. The case is being investigated on the basis of Gurpreet Singh’s statement.
