BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused Mahua Moitra of taking money in Parliament.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mahua Moitra filed a new application in the Delhi High Court on Thursday. In this, he lodged a complaint against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and advocate Jai Anant Dehdraya about the social media post against him.
Advocate Samudra Sararangi was present on behalf of Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra Mahua Moitra. He told the court that Dehdraya’s tweet is actually a screenshot of Dubey’s Facebook post. In the interim application, Moitra’s lawyer urged the court to direct Dubey and Dehdraya to remove the post.
Dubey’s counsel said that this post was based on the Lokpal’s decision on his complaint against Moitra. The court said that what Dubey trusted on the Lokpal verdict does not prima facie support his allegations against Moitra. Therefore, Dubey should remove his post.
At the same time, during the hearing, Chief Justice PS Arora asked Dubey’s lawyer whether the BJP MP is currently ready to delete the post. In the hearing which started after lunch, Dubey’s counsel told the court that he could not be contacted by the BJP leader. Due to this, the court adjourned the hearing for May 9.

What is the matter? BJP MP Nishikant Dubey wrote a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on October 15, 2023. In this, he had alleged that Mahua had taken money and gifts from businessman Darshan Hiranandani to ask questions in Parliament. In this case, the speaker sent to the Ethics Committee. On this, BJP leader and MP from Godda in Jharkhand, Nishikant Dubey, posted Mahua Moitra on the night of 19 March 2024. Nishikant wrote on X- Today, considering my complaint correct, the Lokpal ordered the CBI to investigate against Mahua Moitra i.e. for a few money, former Trinamool Congress MP Moitra pledged corruption and security of the country with businessman Hiranandani.

BJP MP had accused Mahua BJP MP Nishikant Dubey alleged that Mahua had asked questions in Lok Sabha. Nishikant had complained to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. The Ethics Committee was formed to investigate the case.
Mahua was held guilty in the Ethics Committee report, after which the proposal for Mahua’s expulsion appeared in the Lok Sabha on 8 December 2023. There was a sharp debate between the opposition and opposition in the Lok Sabha on the expulsion of Mahua. Finally the proposal was voted, in which the opposition walked out. The proposal to expel Mahua from the Lok Sabha was passed in voting.
