The monsoon has once again become active in Bihar, causing widespread rainfall and cloudy across the state. Yellow alert has been issued for 35 districts and Orange Alert for three districts, which has been warned of heavy rains. Yellow alert districts may receive light to moderate rains with strong winds, while districts with orange alert are likely to receive heavy rains. According to the IMD forecast, the current weather pattern is expected to continue till 7 October, and most parts of the state are expected to receive light to heavy rainfall.

Meteorologists are attributing this new monsoon activity to a deep pressure area built west of the Bay of Bengal. Located about 160 km from Gopalpur coast of Odisha, this pressure area is moving north and affecting the weather of eastern India. The pressure sector is expected to collide with coastal Odisha and Andhra Pradesh between 4 and 5 October and then reach Bihar, Jharkhand and Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
