Rainfall is estimated in 20 states of the country. Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh may receive strong rains with thunderstorms. There is heatwave alert in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh.

The Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the southwest monsoon reached the Bay of Bengal on Wednesday. It will knock in Kerala on 27 May. That is, there are 12 days left for the monsoon.
