Earlier, in Mohali yesterday, the police interrogated Bajwa about his statement for about five and a half hours. Bajwa says that he fully supported the investigation and will continue to do further. At the same time, according to government sources, Bajwa has not cooperated in the investigation.

Controversy started with interview In an interview on a TV channel on April 13, Bajwa claimed that 50 grenades have come in Punjab, out of which 18 have been used and 32 are still to be explored across the state. The controversy started with the interview teaser broadcast and an FIR was lodged against Bajwa in Mohali on the same day on the complaint of a female police employee.
Government took cognizance, police started investigation As soon as the interview teaser broadcast, AIG Counter Intelligence Ravjot Grewal reached the house of Bajwa in Sector-8, Chandigarh to ask the source of Grenade information at around 12 noon. She came out for about 15 minutes and told the media that Bajwa was not cooperating in the investigation.
After this, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann released a video asking Bajwa from where he got this information? Do they have relations with Pakistan, who are giving them information directly by calling them? He raised the question that when this information is neither with the state intelligence nor with the central agencies, were Bajwa waiting for these bomb blasts so that they could do politics? If it is a lie, do they want to spread fear in Punjab? He clearly stated that action will be taken if the source of information is not told.
Case filed, FIR Deep on court order On the evening of April 13, the police sent summons to Bajwa for questioning and were asked to appear on 14 April at 12 noon. Bajwa did not appear that day, his lawyers asked for a day’s time. He was again called at 2 pm on 15 April. After this, the lawyers of Bajwa filed a petition in the High Court and they were handed over a copy of the FIR at 4 pm the same evening.
High court reached Bajwa, interrogation for six hours
On 15 April, Pratap Singh Bajwa filed a petition to cancel the petition against the case filed against him in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. In the afternoon, Congress leaders and supporters came to Chandigarh. After this, the police questioned Bawja in Mohali from two and a half hours to 8 pm. Congress leaders demonstrated outside the cyber police station. While the Aam Aadmi Party also performed a state level demonstration against the Congress in Mohal.
