Dungarpur, TB (tuberculosis) is one of the most common diseases in the tribal-dominated Dungarpur district of Rajasthan. TB is a disease caused by bacteria that spreads from one person to another through the air. Generally, the beginning of TB starts from the lungs. Most TB is of the lungs. But, it can happen in any part of the body like brain, uterus, mouth, liver, kidney, throat, bone etc.
Dr. Devesh Meena of Government Hospital told that cough continuously for more than two weeks, mucus is coming along with cough, sometimes blood, loss of appetite, continuous weight loss, fever coming in the evening or night, in cold. Sweating, shortness of breath or chest pain while breathing can be any of these symptoms. At the same time, many times a person with TB does not even have these symptoms. Those who do not take care of food and drink, they are more likely to get TB. Because due to weak immunity, their body cannot withstand the attack of bacteria.
Dr. Devesh Meena told that if cough persists for more than two weeks, then see the doctor and get the sputum checked. Keep distance from sick person. Wear a mask if you are going to meet the patient. If someone around you is coughing for a long time, then stay away from him. Wash your hands after meeting a sick person.
