From the PIB Fact Czech, it has been reported that this general advice is a practical motivation to make people aware of fats and additional sugar in all food products, not for a particular food product. This advice is for healthy options and initiatives at workplaces and urges people to choose healthy options to reduce excess oil and sugar intake for healthy diet and lifestyle. It does not target India’s rich street food culture.

Earlier it was said that health -related warnings will soon be seen in public places on India’s favorite snacks like Samosa, Jalebi and Vada Pav. The Union Health Ministry has launched a new awareness campaign to urge all central government institutions to put up boards that describe the amount of fat and sugar in everyday snacks – such as warships on cigarette packets. However, the PIB fact check has described it as false.
